THE FACTS and FICTIONS of ANNEX I

  • That Annexes I and/or IA and/or IB will, in May 2000, contain the lists of existing biocidal active substances.

** WRONG! **

  • Existing biocidal actives will be maintained on a separate list.

  • Only actives that have been authorised by the full BPD process will appear on Annexes I, IA or IB.

  • This means that these Annexes will remain empty for some considerable time after May 2000.

* Probably until 2005/6! *
