UK IMPLEMENTATION COMMITTEES

• The Health and Safety Executive have set up a number of consultative task forces to assist UK implementation:
  • Finances - Fee plus levy, but when will the levy start?
  • Transitional arrangements - The review of existing products and the transfer from COPR;
  • Usage Strategy - to consider risk reduction measures. Output will be guidance not regulation but can make recommendations beyond the scope of the BPD.

*All of these groups have now closed. On finance, we know that it will not be a levy but a flat charge, annually, by company. Guidance has now been issued on the transition between COPR and the BPD. The Usage Strategy group has closed without conclusions. *
