ITEMS STILL NOT DECIDED

  • The Technical Guidance Documents * (Technical Notes for Guidance) * (2nd drafts):
    • on the inclusion of actives in Annex I, IA & IB - Sweden;
    • on the data requirements for the biocidal product types - Finland;
    • on the Common Principles (Annex VI) - UK.

* The first of these is nearly completed but the other two are still some way off. A Technical Note for Guidance on 'Practicalities' is also in preparation. *

  • The Review Regulation (EC - not yet started):
    • to lay down the priorities and procedures for evaluating existing active substances during the transitional period.

* The first Review Regulation has been published as Commission Regulation (EC) No 1896/2000 and is currently in force. Discussion has started on a second Review Regulation. *

  • Guidance on legislation overlaps (EC - not yet started).

* These issues have been discussed by 'expert' working groups for some time. Only the Plant Protection/BPD overlap has been agreed. *
