Who deals with the details of health, safety and the environment in your company?
Could they be more productively employed?
Is it you?
Should you be doing something else?
How much time is spent on it?

  • ChemLaw will release that time.

  • We will free you for that other purpose.

ChemLaw will provide services in these areas as follows:

  • We will produce or advise on the production of safety policies, environmental policies, codes of practice and workplace risk reduction procedures.

  • We will carry out safety or environmental audits of offices, laboratories and factories including a review of all existing health, safety and environmental programmes. Full reports will be issued, recommendations made and the results discussed with the client.

  • We will undertake assessments of the risks to employees in the work environment. This will include consideration of the workplace, workplace equipment, use of VDUs and manual handling and protective equipment. Possibilities for risk reduction will be advised. Assessments will be documented in a form that satisfies the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations and the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations.

  • We will act as the ‘competent person’ to assist in the application of health and safety law as required by Regulation 7 of the UK Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999 (“Every employer shall … appoint one or more competent persons to assist him …”).
