Does the worry of regulatory compliance keep you awake at night?
Do you have difficulty keeping up with all the issues?
How do you stay up to date?

  • ChemLaw UK will release you from that worry.
  • We will ensure your compliance.
  • We will keep you aware, deal with your present and future liabilities and we won’t break the bank.

Amongst the tasks that ChemLaw UK will undertake are:

  • We will discuss the requirements, and possible implications to the client, of the EU Directive on ‘Biocidal Products’ (98/8/EC) as well as the UK Biocidal Products Regulations SI 2001 No.880 as amended. Presentations can be given on all aspects of the directive/regulations including suggestions on best strategies. With client agreement, we will consider possibilities for inclusion of products in frame formulation groups. When the time comes, we will manage applications for Biocidal Product authorisations.

  • We will advise on the ever changing EU directives and regulations on the classification and labeling of dangerous substances and preparations. In particular, we can advise on the new Classification, labeling and packaging of substances and mixtures (CLP) Regulation. We will evaluate products for potential impact of this legislation.

  • We will consider all implications for you, as 'manufacturer', 'importer' and/or 'downstream user', of the EU REACH Regulation. We will advise you on the requirements and assist you through compliance.

  • We will create or evaluate hazard classifications, labels and safety data sheets. Details will be given of the text and symbols that should appear on the product label. This will include the dimensions required by the legislation. If required, advice will also be given on changes that could be used to achieve a more satisfactory classification. For detergent products, information will be given to enable compliance with the EU Detergents regulation EC No 648/2004 as amended.

These are just examples. ChemLaw UK monitors all EU legislation as well as all draft and newly published UK Statutory Instruments for items of relevance to the chemical industry.
